“Ben Okafor is the kind of counter-culture renaissance man that denies lazy pigeonholing. Call him a reggae musician, an actor or a political activist and you just won’t catch the whole creative sweep of this passionate, articulate communicator and musician.” – Tony Cummings

Why Strike a Light?: Around the world, millions of children are imprisoned by lies and harmful beliefs. Countless children face discrimination because of their disability and the false belief they are worthless, second-class. Countless other children are accused of being witches because of the false belief that children are possessed by evil spirits and are to blame for family misfortunes.
BCT will not stand by and watch as children fall victim to these lies.

As part of the Strike a Light initiative, our Strike a Light event seeks to expose the harmful beliefs that keep children living in darkness, and to mobilise a response, to make a difference to children who are suffering.
